In the silence that precedes the morning, when the lake still sleeps and the light stretches lightly over the rows, the profound sense of our living is born. The kitchen garden at Villa Clementina is not just a place to cultivate, but a way of looking at time, beauty and care. This is where our idea of hospitality begins: between roots that sink in and hands that harvest. To enter the garden is to enter a philosophy: that of simplicity, of the season that drives, of food that tells a true story.

Every day we harvest vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from our garden, which become the protagonists of the Villa Clementina cuisine. Our gastronomic proposal is based on authenticity and seasonality: dishes are conceived around what the land offers, with a creative but respectful approach to the raw materials. The result is a 0 km cuisine, organic and deeply linked to the territory of Lake Como.

Every dish that comes to the table is the story of something that has grown slowly, under the light of the lake and in the hands of those who cultivate with care. The flavours are simple, but never banal: they speak of the earth, the wind, the seasons. Eating here is not just eating - it is remembering. It is to smell the scent of a herb you have forgotten, the true taste of a freshly picked tomato. It is a sensory return to the origin, sweet and deep like a childhood memory.

Between the soft curves of the vegetable garden and the silent energy of the fitness area, the dry-stone walls tell an ancient story of patient hands and respect for the earth. Built in the 1950s, these stone walls, up to 1.5 metres high, now support six terraces that punctuate the landscape of the villa. They are not just structures, but witnesses to a time when every stone had a place and a meaning. Still today they guard and support the cultivated land, embracing nature and dialoguing with it, like a living work of art that breathes with the lake.
